OUR PASTOR

 

Pastor Leonard Jones, III was born on May 15, 1967 in New Orleans, Louisiana.   He is the son of Mary Carey Jones and Leonard Jones Jr.  He has a brother, Raymond D. Bailey, who is also in the ministry.  

 

Pastor Jones has 3 children; Domonique, Jeremy, and Joshua Jones.  He has one grandson, Michael Dustin Jones. He resides on the north side of Houston, Texas.

 

Leonard Jones III accepted the Lord at the tender age of 12 at New Home Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop/Prophet/Pastor Robert Charles Blake's Sr., in New Orleans.  Under his pastors leadership, Pastor Jones participated in several ministries within the church.  He was apart of the True Believers of Christ Gospel Group, he served as an usher, and then he became a deacon. 

 

While serving on the deacon board he was a camera man for The Church Taking the Kingdom television broad cast where he served over ten years and worked as a pastor care taker.

 

On New Years Eve in 1996 while working on the camera, the voice of The Lord spoke to him and said it’s time. Pastor Jones knew it was the voice of God.  He had to tell his pastor and he responded “well, son preach”. Years later after attending the Robert C Blake's School of Ministries where he studied Pastoral studies, he was ordained and licensed on October 28, 2002.  Pastor Jones was blessed to have Samuel R Blake’s, Robert C. Blake's, Pastor Darryl Phoenix and one of his best friends Pastor Leroy Phoenix as instructors and mentors.
